OziExplorer is a flamboyant GPS Mapping Software that runs on the PC and works with varieties of GPS receivers such as Garmin, Lowrance, Magellan, Eagle, Brunton, Silva and MLR for the uploading or downloading the waypoints, routes and tracks and most brands of GPS receivers for real time tracking of GPS position.

Using this software, the user can use maps and charts that can be self scanned, and even purchased in digital form such as BSB, ECW, SID, TIF, USGS, DRG, PNG, etc. The user can also download Waypoints, Routes and Tracks from the GPS and display them on a map. What’s more, it’s possible to even specify permanent Map features on a map and attach a picture or any other types of files to all the individual features and also place symbols and comments on the Map. The users can also use the GPS position in real time on the map, wherein the OziExplorer navigates along the chosen route giving instructions when each waypoint is reached.

The applications supports 100+ map Datums along with many Map projections as well as Grid systems. It displays many different parameters like Speed, Course, CTS, Next Waypoint, Distance, XTE, ETE and ETA and the moving map operation automatically changes to the next map.
